Week 4
Week Four
Advertising Revenue
After spending some time researching Advertising Revenue I have discovered that there are many different ways to make a bit of money through advertising on your website.
The three most common ways that online advertising is purchased and sold are CPM, CPC, and CPA.
- CPM - Cost Per Mille means cost per thousand impressions and refers to the amount you are paid for displaying an advertisement 1000 times
- CPC – Cost Per Click is when advertisiers pay you each time a visitor clicks on their listing through your referral link and gets redirected to the advertisers website.
- CPA - Cost Per Action is based on performance. the publisher takes complete control over the advertising, the advertiser pays only for the visitors who complete a transaction such as a purchase or sign-up.
A few websites I will look into:
Google Adsense
Bidvertiser
Amazon
Most of the websites I’ve looked at also pay referral commissions for signing up new advertisers or publishers, this is another way to earn money online and something else for me to research.
You really need a great website with high traffic, the more visitors you attract to your site, the more chances you have of your ads being viewed. I am definitely interested in trying this method of earning money, however I need to do more research and get the website up and running properly before I can start. So my main focus now is to finish this Website and get it ready for paid hosting, then I can focus more on earning the money.
Later down the track I may even look into advertising my website using the above methods – I’ll see how things go.

So even though I have a little less in the Quest account, I am still better off as I now have some more pokemon cards to sell for a profit.
Next week I will write a little bit about making money offline, until then ….
Stay safe, think positive and change the way you think.
